Meet Craig O’Connor | Hamilton Osteopath & ACC Provider
As a structural Osteopath, Craig focuses on how the biomechanics of your body enable functional movement, allowing you to perform your everyday tasks with confidence. He utilises advanced movement screening to guide your recovery, employing a clinical range of soft tissue therapy, mobilisation, manipulation, and clinical osteopathic needling techniques, alongside expert, patient-specific exercise advice.
Craig has a long history of supporting the athletic community in Hamilton, with a particular focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation for netballers, runners, and the CrossFit community. He has extensive experience working with high-level athletes, including assisting top-tier New Zealand CrossFitters at the Pacific Regional level.
Driven by a commitment to evidence-based care, Craig completed a Master’s degree with a thesis focused on the holistic health benefits of Kapa Haka for Kaihaka (performers). His dedication to community health is further highlighted by his work under the Ministry of Health and Men’s Health scholarships, which funded his project dedicated to improving musculoskeletal healthcare for tradespeople.
A "true coaster" at heart, Craig is originally from the East Coast and spends his time away from the clinic spearfishing, surfing, or on the mat as a keen Judoka.
